For anyone trying to lose weight and stay healthy, it can be difficult to decide which plan will work best for their body. Let’s take a look at a few of the most popular diets to help you make an informed decision.

Popular Diets – The Atkin’s Diet

The Atkin’s diet has been one of the most popular diets over the last decade. The basis of this eating plan is that those following it cut their daily carbohydrate intake to below 30g per day. This often leads many Atkin’s diet followers to believe the idea that they can consume high calorie and high fat foods as long as they do not contain many carbohydrates. While this can be an excellent way to drop a large amount of body fat fast, it isn’t necessarily the best option for your overall health.

Popular Diets – Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet

Most people in America have what could be described as a sweet tooth. With Dr. Siegal’s Cookie Diet, the diet follower consumes a special cookie every two hours and one generous meal throughout the day. While this is a good form of calorie restriction, the cookie diet may be difficult for many to follow due to lack of fullness. This often leads to binging or making unwise food choices, which can be counteractive to losing weight. In addition, purchasing the special cookies can be expensive and inconvenient. And anyway, do you really want to follow someone with name “Snookie” giving you advice on nutrition?!

There has been great mention in the media about Weight Watchers lately, mostly due to the high level celebrity endorsers that the plan has been able to include in their advertising. American Idol Jennifer Hudson is the most current celebrity notable for her weight loss success with the plan, leading many people to believe that Weight Watchers is the best choice of the list of popular diets available. This plan features calorie restriction by giving every food a “point” system value. For some, this is greatly affective. For those who already have problems deciding what is a healthy food choice, this can lead to weight loss disaster.

Network Marketing Is Simple, but NOT SO EASY!

So, what do we do to get ourselves moving in the right direction when getting started or re igniting our existing business?  As with anything, you have to start at the beginning. This, is of course what keeps MOST people from ever getting off the ground in the first place.  It is always the foundation that causes the house that we build to stand firm.  Most of us dive into the image of what we want rather than what burns inside of us.

The Real Leaders Have Sacrificed The Most

Having worked with some of the best in the people in both the television industry as well as the network marketing industry, I can tell you that everyone who has achieved the most enviable success have been the ones with the most to lose. From David Wood(homeless, living in a van) Internet Marketing Guru, Ray Higdon(down to the last $300 in his bank account)#1 income earner in his company, to Jermey Gilchrest (who was living on a cot homeless) before hitting 2 Star Ambassador and being one the top earners in his company, the people that MAKE IT HAPPEN are the ones that GOT MAD at their situation!

They rejected the life that was getting them nowhere and instead embraced the life that they wished for.

My point with this post today is not to get more back links or figure out how my SEO will increase by placing this blog.  Maybe it doesn’t teach you a thing.  But, if you are done waiting for the world to GIVE you something, perhaps you should look at what it is that you’re hoping to eradicate from your life, then GET MAD!

What Can I Do?

Sometimes to figure out who you are in this industry, you have to follow who is making it happen.  The one thing that I have learned that has made a huge difference in my success is that if what I THINK I should do is not working for me and I am not willing to ask for help because of my own ego, I will forever look to blame outside forces for what is not taking me to what my vision is for success. So, I ask you. “Who are you following?”  “What are you DOING to make the Changes necessary to feed WHY you are engaged in your business?”

And above all “What WILL you do?” I am thankful to have had the where with all to look at where I started in my marketing journey and where I have seen countless successes for people that are spinning out of control in their business, spending ridiculous money and never really having the time or resources to sift and sort through all the programs that are being offered out there. Riddle me this?

What is the single greatest asset and tool we have as entrepreneurs?

Is it our ability to talk someone’s ear off?  Or maybe it’s how we try to repeatedly jam our business down the same people’s throat time and time again because we have been told somewhere along the way that it isn’t the right “time” for them.

I’m gonna tell you something.  I have prospected A LOT of people, and MOST of them will never be on that clock.  Someone pulled the pin out of their watch and they are locked in employee land!

So, I gotta tell you all a secret.

Are you ready?

I was terrified to talk to leads and prospects on the phone!

Are you @#$%^&*ing kidding me Rick?!

Yep!  I am officially outing myself.  I was hiding behind my chicken list, my email, my hope that people would start contacting me off facebook and I would “never have to call a single lead.”

Well, I found out something real quick(or in a few months).

If you are going to make a mark in this business you have to make breakthroughs.  And the way you make breakthroughs is to face what you are most afraid of.

The great thing is YOU get to decide whether or not you want to.

All I know is that I was playing it safe.  All the talk of posturing, and attraction, and everything that I had been studying was keeping me from doing the ONE thing and the ONLY thing that matters in our businesses.

Connecting with people on the phone!

I know it sounds like a simple, “Duh, Rick I knew that” moment, but until I actually truly, honestly examined what I was doing(or not doing)to grow my business, I was able to put a plan into action.

So, what was keeping me from calling people that I PAID to have on a list?

It was the same thing that every major producer in the industry would say.  I didn’t know what to say  to them.

Now, I gotta tell you, this is most embarrassing for me being an actor in the entertainment industry for 25+ years, but for me I was more worried about how MUCH I would say.

Are there certain buttons and key things to say to a prospect in order to get them to give you permission to even say anything about what you have to offer them?  Uh, yeah.

And I’ll give you a little clue.

1. It aint all about you

2. Know who you’re dealing with before you move forward

3. Don’t every pitch them your opporutnity on an initial call.

4. Use the tools you have to do the “talking” for you.

5. Don’t try to close them just because they didn’t hang up on you.  You might be someone they wish they could be, but won’t.

There are all types out there.  We hear over and over again that the people you are supposed to have in your business will come.  That is the greatest part about this business.

But remember, they won’t come just because you WILL them to come.

You gotta go connect with them and see if they are willing and “open” to taking the ride with you.
